IT’S THE ACTUAL FUCKING BOOK LAUNCH!

Join Penned In the Margins and me to celebrate the launch of ‘The Actual Fuck’, my first full poetry collection. Written on my phone, in transit, between meetings, before falling asleep and just after waking, my publisher describes it as poetry as polemic, as an act of resistance, as a middle finger to a fuckload of grievances.

The launch will include contributions from Raymond Antrobus, Dai George, Keisha Thompson, Zaahida Nabagereka, JJ Bola, Nikesh Shukla, Lavinia Singer, Anthony Anaxagorou, Theresa Ikoko and Afua Hirsch as well as live readings from special guests including Lily Loveless (Skins), Sope Dirisu (Gangs of London, Humans), Natalie Simpson (Outlander, Three Sisters), Andrew McMillan (Guardian First Book Award 2015), and Sule Rimi (Barber Shop Chronicles, Three Sisters). 

I’ll be hosting the night, taking y’all on a journey of Fuck poems, from Tupac to Trump, Paris to Nigeria, and at the end, I’ll invite y’all to share what you give a fuck about.

A couple important bits: 

1/ You’ll need a Zoom account to join us online. If you don’t have one, you can download it for free HERE. 

2/ We’ll be throwing out a lot of 'fucks', 'fuckeries' and 'fucksakes' during this launch. Parental guidance advised if you are 16 and under. 

3/ Please note, this event will be recorded.
