After the inaugural event in New York City, I am really excited to welcome you to the first event of this year’s 05Fest - REDACTED - a live poetry event, where the guests  - and every member of the audience - get to turn a page from a book into a new poem, and share it! Redacted centres Blackout Poetry which is created when text is taken from a book, newspaper, or magazine and by redacting words and entire sentences, hidden poetry is revealed. It’s a dope live-literature gathering, celebrating play and invention. The guests will debut these new redacted work, from which other guests will draw conclusions about their personality – wrong answers only!

Audience members are invited to participate; each given the same text to redact, and a few chosen at random to share their poems.

The lineup includes: Esme Allman, JJ Bola, Mona Arshi, Latekid, Laura Bates, Courttia Newland ( a page from whose book A River Called Time we will be redacting), Antonia King, Joe Dunthorne and Rebecca Perry. I’ll be hosting.
